The importance of a great profile photograph cannot be stressed enough. Artistic photographs work great for Facebook where you are surrounded by friends and family. But, for a Floh profile, choose a recent photograph that represents you accurately. The main profile picture is most effective when it clearly shows your face and doesn’t include other people.
A photograph where you are barely seen in the distance and your face isn’t shown is not a good picture for your Floh profile. Alternatively, a close up of just your eyes and nose may not work as well as you think.
Helpful second and third photographs capture more than just your face and generally tell the viewer something about your interests.
If you like to travel to art museums, a picture of you with a piece of art can be a great way to show off both yourself and your interests. All this doesn’t mean that you have to have a professionally shot photograph. You can ask a friend to take a photograph of yourself when you think you’re looking your best, smile, and upload. Of course, if you ever see a professional photographer at a Floh event, don’t hesitate to ask him to shoot a great photograph for your profile.
