Seema Seth Header

What’s special about Floh is that it is a very strong and tightly knit community. In an attempt to spotlight those that make up this community, we introduce to you – Friday Friends!

Tap into the other side of Floh member and design professional/entrepreneur, Seema Seth.

Seema Seth would like to be introduced as ‘a creative soul’. You can talk to her about design, music, coffee, Coldplay or food. These are the things that put a smile on her face. She’s also hoping to go to Japan soon… so if you have any Japan stories/must-dos, please share them with her!

What’s your story?
In short, I breathe all things design.

Where did you grow up?
I’m Punjabi, but grew up in Calcutta, and moved to Bangalore when I was 15. I’m more Bengali-Bangalorean, than Punjabi.

Did your profession choose you or did you choose your profession?
I’d like to believe that I chose my profession. But it’s a bit like the chicken and egg story.

Take us through the journey of your career?
I’ve worked with three prominent design firms in Bangalore. I started at the bottom as a design intern/ slave, and moved my way up to heading a team of my own as a Design Lead. In 2010, I set up Studio Sky – my brand design firm. I also co-founded Footsy, a brand of playful socks, in 2012. I continue to split my time between these two firms, besides being constantly distracted by other ideas.
