Over the last 9 years, we have given our heart and soul to get singles to meet each other in real life at events. It’s been an amazing journey, and we’ve loved interacting with each of you. From the first Floh wedding in 2012 to over 3000 weddings (and 1500 events) since, we’ve passionately pursued our vision of helping singles meet their special someone in a fun and interactive way.
As Covid-19 becomes a part of the new-normal, it has become increasingly difficult for us to remain true to our mission of connecting singles in real life. Even as we enter the latest extension of the lockdown, each day unfortunately continues to bring a higher number of people affected. The guidelines on social distancing make it impossible for groups of people to come together at bars, restaurants, dance and fitness studios, cookouts, museums and parks. In short, it is inadvisable to host events where 15-30 people meet and do something interactive and in close proximity to each other.
This global scenario has been a body blow for Floh. We know that we’re at an inflection point. Like many companies, small and large, we’ve had to let go of some incredible talent and that has been exceptionally hard for us to do. It has also left us with no option but to graciously call it a day.
It is with deep sadness that we have decided to close Floh. This has been a huge learning for us and we trust it will strengthen our resolve and work into the future. The next few weeks will see Floh working towards closure. The app will sunset at midnight on May 31st. As a gesture of goodwill, if you have a substantial amount of time remaining in your membership, we’ll be happy to offer you complimentary 1:1 relationship coaching sessions with either of us on a pro rata basis. Going forward, we will continue in a different avatar. As founders and along with our team, we have the best perspective in the world, on what it means to be single in urban India today. These insights continue to be invaluable. We plan to make these insights and our guidance available widely, regardless of the dating app or matrimony sites that you may choose to use. For now, our insights will be published over here.

Right now, we would like to say a big thank you for being an integral part of the Floh journey. The Floh community is especially grateful to our members, our partners, our team and our alumni. You have supported us, and just been there for us in whichever way you could.
We also want to thank the many individuals who have worked with us over the years, making it their business to consistently deliver world-class Floh experiences, so that more and more of us could be enriched.
