Kicking off November is Janak Mistry.
Janak Mistry is a man who wears many hats. He is a true-blue gypsy at heart. His love for the road currently finds him wearing the hat of an entrepreneur who owns a company that organizes motorcycle rides. And that is just the tip of the iceberg. So hop on to the pillion seat and read on!
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in a small town, about 220 kms North of Mumbai towards Gujarat.
Take us through the journey of your career.
I did my first Master’s degree in HR & Marketing from Mumbai University. I followed that up with an M.Sc in International Business from the United Kingdom. I am a food and hygiene specialist and a certified pizza artist from the United Kingdom.
What is your style quotient?
Be comfortable and be very much “you” for everything else is taken. A pair of jeans with a white polo neck never gave a bad impression.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
I always wanted to be an automobile engineer.
What is your tech peeve?
Loud music and cellphone ringtones.
What is your go-to cuisine?
Home cooked food. Nothing beats simple food.
What are the causes you care deeply about?
Primary and civic education.
If you could ask for a gift from someone, what would it be?
Time, for it never comes back. But if I need to ask for something materialistic, maybe a beautiful pen.
What’s your most cherished childhood memory?
The day when I learnt cycling. One of the best moments of my life.
The last movie that had you crying tears of Laughter or made you very emotional.

If you were to be a world champion in a sport, which one would it be?
Moto GP and Formula 1.
